鳳尾蕨屬多年生草本蕨類植物，是原產中、南美洲熱帶氣候區的四鳳尾蕨的紅葉園藝品種。葉片三角形，新葉紅褐色，成熟葉綠色。一至二回羽狀複葉；小羽片7~15對。

A perennial herb fern in the genus Pteris. This is a red-frond cultivar of Pteris quadriaurita originated in the tropical regions of Central and South America. Fronds triangular, new fronds reddish brown, and mature ones green, uni- or bi-pinnately compound; 7-15 pairs of small pinnae.

紅鳳尾蕨因葉片色彩較特殊，可以用於半日照環境的蕨類園、觀葉植物主題園造景使用或單盆或組合盆栽於室內明亮處欣賞。

Valued for the unique color of fronds, it’s commonly used in fern gardens under partial sun; for foliage garden landscaping; or enjoyed in a single pot or a mixed planter in a bright indoor location.

半日照環境下生長良好，喜歡空氣潮濕的環境。如果環境較乾燥，會影響幼葉的發育。對水分有著較為嚴格的要求，盆土不宜過分潮濕或乾燥。以分株繁殖。
