竹蕉屬常綠灌木，是原產非洲南部香龍血樹的中型斑葉園藝品種。株高可達1m以上，莖直立，少分枝。葉線形，常叢生於頂端；葉片中央綠色有白色或淺綠色細線，兩側亮黃色至黃綠色。圓錐花序，白色花小型，有香味。

An evergreen shrub in the genus Dracaena. This is a medium-sized variegated cultivar of Dracaena fragrans which is native to southern Africa. The plant height can reach more than 1m. Stem erect, with few branches. Leaves linear, often tufted at the top; green or light green thin lines occurring in the center of the leaf, and the both sides are bright yellow to yellow-green. Panicles, flowers white, small and scented.

生長強健，半日照環境較適宜。於室內無日照處，僅靠人工照明亦能生存，但葉緣的斑紋會較綠。喜高溫、高濕，耐旱，土全乾後再徹底澆水。以扦插法繁殖。

葉色明亮美麗，適合於遮蔭地的庭園內作為色彩植物。室內使用主要是作盆栽或組合盆栽。枝葉是良好的插花材料。
