錦繡玉屬的多肉植物，原產巴西，植株單生，成熟株易從基部分枝群生。莖圓柱形，高60cm，直徑8~12cm，表面約有30條稜，密生柔軟的黃色刺。黃色花，直徑5~6cm。春至夏季開花。

A succulent plant of the genus Parodia, native to Brazil. Single stem, old plants cluster in the base. Stem cylindrical, 60 cm high, 8-12 cm in diameter, about 30 ridges, packed with dense yellow spines. Yellow flowers, 5 - 6 cm in diameter. Flowering from spring to summer.

栽培：全日照通風環境下可生長良好，日照充足時可促進開花。炎夏時切勿讓植株曝曬，以免產生日燒等曬傷跡象。為了防止爛根等情形，需採用排水透氣的介質。耐寒性強，在原產地可耐近零度低溫。高溫期生長，低溫期休眠。

The plant grows well with full sunlight and good ventilation. Sufficient sun exposure can promote flowering, however, exposure in high summer may cause sunburn. Plant in draining and breathable soil to avoid root rotting. It’s highly cold-tolerant, can survive near-zero temperature in the natural habitat. It grows in warm seasons and goes dormant in cold seasons.

金黃柔軟如毛的刺使它成為較可親近的仙人掌，是市場上的普及種，常作為仙人掌組合盆栽的材料。以多株群植或從基部切除加以誘導分枝成群生狀，會比單株種植更有觀賞性。

This species is a popular cactus in the market thanks to its soft golden spines. It’s often planted with other cacti. Planting in clusters or growing into clusters by inducing branches cut from the base, It is more ornamental than single plantation.
