羅漢松屬常綠喬木，原產菲律賓呂宋島至臺灣蘭嶼海岸崖壁上及近海珊瑚礁上。常綠喬木或灌木，分枝短而密。線形葉叢生於枝端，葉尖圓鈍形，邊緣稍反捲。雌雄異株。種子橢圓形，成熟時深黑色，肉質果托成熟紅色。開花春季，結果夏季。

An evergreen tree or shrub in the genus Podocarpus, native to the Luzon Island of the Philippines to the cliffs of the Lanyu island coast and offshore coral reefs. Featured with short and dense branches. Linear-shaped leaves are borne in clusters at the end of branch with round obtuse leaf apex and slightly rolling up on the edge. Dioecious. Oval shaped seeds are ripe black and fleshy receptacles turn red when mature. Flowering in spring and fruiting in summer.

全日照或半日照溫暖環境，幼株耐陰，可以種植於光線陰暗位置。每季施用一次有機質肥料。作為整型樹，可以隨時修剪不整齊的枝條。注意橙帶藍尺蛾與羅漢松蚜危害。繁殖主要採用播種法。

Full-sun or half-sun and warm environment, saplings are shade-tolerant and can be planted in shady locations. Apply organic fertilizers once every season. As a topiary plant, it could be trimmed as needed to remove irregular branches. Watch for pests - Milionia basalis and Neophyllaphis podocarpi. Seeding is mainly used for propagation.
