仙人掌屬多肉植物，原產墨西哥，是團扇仙人掌的一種，為金烏帽子的白刺變種。莖扁橢圓形，刺座上的白毛是較細的芒刺，跟一般硬刺的仙人掌不同，容易生出新芽。由於造型特殊，國外別稱為兔子耳朵。芒刺容易附著在手指、衣物上必須小心。

A succulent plant in the genus Opuntia, native to Mexico. It’s a white spine variety of Opuntia microdasys in the subfamily Opuntioideae. The stem is flat elliptical and the white hairs on the areole are finer glochid which are different from the hard-spine cacti and the plant is easier to produce new buds. Due to the unique shape, it’s also called “bunny ears” in other countries. Watch for the glochid as they are easily attached to fingers and clothes.

栽培：全日照通風環境下可生長良好，日照充足時可促進開花，炎夏時切勿讓植株曝曬，為了防止爛根等情形，種植時需採用排水透氣的介質。此外，冬季溫度不可低於攝氏15℃。於冬季時植株進入冬眠期，生長緩慢，可移至室內明亮處，控制澆水。

The plant enjoys full-sun and ventilated environments. Sufficient sunshine can promote flowering but direct exposure in hot summer will cause marks of sunburn. Plant in well-drained and breathable medium soil to prevent roots from rotting. The plant will go dormant if the temperature is lower than 15 °C, move it to a bright indoor location and control watering.

此多肉植物因其型態特殊，常被應用在植物推廣教育，進行觀賞品種育種選拔，甚至在特殊景觀佈置、花藝組合盆栽，居家綠美化種植上擁有不可或缺的地位。

Valued for its unique shape, it is often chosen to present in plant promotion programs which carry out ornamental breeding competitions as well as in special landscape layout and floral combination potted plants. It has an indispensable role to home greening and landscaping.
