羅漢松屬常綠喬木，原產中國華中、華南與日本。分枝密，革質條狀披針形葉螺旋狀排列，葉色深綠有光澤。雌雄異株，雄花序穗狀簇生於葉腋。雌花單生於葉腋。種子圓形紫黑色有白粉，肉質種托圓柱形紫紅色。開花春季，結果夏季。

An evergreen tree in the genus Podocarpus, native to Central China, South China and Japan. It features dense twigs and leathery, shiny dark green and strap-shaped lanceolate leaves which are arranged in dense spirals. Dioecious, male inflorescences are spiky and fascicled in leaf axils while female flowers grow solitarily in leaf axils. ellipsoidal seeds are purple black covered with white powder, and the fleshy scale turn reddish purple. It blooms in spring and fruits in summer.

全日照或半日照溫暖環境，幼株耐陰，可以種植於光線陰暗位置。每季施用一次有機質肥料或長效肥。作為整型樹，可以隨時修剪不整齊的枝條。要注意橙帶藍尺蛾與羅漢松蚜危害。繁殖採用播種法。

Grown in full-sun or partial shade warm environment. Saplings are shade-tolerant and can be planted in shaded areas. Apply organic or long-active fertilizers once every season. As a topiary tree, it should be trimmed as needed to remove shaggy to maintain the shape. Watch for pest infestation - Milionia basalis and Neophyllaphis podocarpi. Seeding is used to propagate.
